round 7
AMO announces its 2025 schedule, featuring several new additions.
We have not had a 2025 National pro schedule debut but we can assume the east will remain the same after looking at the AMO dates. It looks like AMO is set to have double headers leading into the Pro day events.
This new format brings racing on Friday and Saturday before Sunday’s Pro races. With Canadian moto currently seeing riders leaving the track on Nationals days, it’s a bad look for the sport. Will this weekend format encourage racers to commit to the full event, or will it drive them away even faster?
Regardless of the outcome, it's great to see promoters experimenting. Innovation drives positive change.
Along with the AMO schedule announcement, the ECAN dates were revealed: July 22-27, returning to Deschambault for the 13th consecutive year.
No news to report on WCAN as of yet.

An unexpected announcement: Josiah Natzke will stay in NZ for 2025, forgoing a return to KTM Canada Red Bull Racing to chase the championship after finishing a close second in 2024.
This opens up one, possibly two, spots for 450 riders on KTM. With a dominant 1-1 season in the 250/450 classes and a WMX West Championship. KTM Canada has strong options locally, but to back those results, might they need to look across borders for a new hire?
Things are quiet in Canada with most of the country now covered in snow. However, Arenacross is strong on the West Coast, with Chilliwack Barn open for practice and slot rentals, and Ironhorse AX registration now live.
As the holidays approach and many prepare to head south in early 2025 to escape the snow, it’s a quiet time here until the 2025 Nationals schedule drops.
