round 6
Canadian Moto.
It's officially quiet time in Canadian Moto—nothing major to report, but plenty to be excited about.
Canadian National Series
Buzz is building around the 2025 Outdoor schedule release. Rumors point to 8 rounds, with 2 new tracks in the West and the East staying the same.
The big question: WCAN?! Will it happen, and if so, where and when? Too many unknowns to SPECulate, but it's possible a WCAN could land in a week without a National. Will that work? Time will tell.
The 2024 WCAN was widely considered a disappointment, marking its return to Alberta after a long hiatus. With the Eastern Canadian Amateur Nationals (ECAN) thriving this year, it's disheartening to see the West struggling. Here's hoping the 2025 WCAN brings a fresh approach, restoring the event to its past success.

Supercross is just around the corner, and the hype is real. Last week, teams gathered at Angel Stadium for Press Day—a smart move, giving them a month to prep before the January 11 gate drop. It's also a prime opportunity for photoshoots and finalizing programs ahead of the storm.
This isn't Canadian news, but Supercross is a huge part of our winter up north, so we'll be covering it every Thursday. This year, we’re spoiled with even more Canadians to cheer for. Blake Davies and Julien Benek will be lining up at A1 aboard their Triumph Canada International MVP bikes, ready for the big stage.
Julien Benek earned just three points last year, but that doesn’t tell the full story—he raced through a broken hand and mono. 2025 is set to be redemption for the young BC rider as he recovers from an injury sustained while prepping for A1.
Blake’s Supercross debut at 16 is a big deal. A young Canadian with immense potential, he's got the backing of a team ready to go the distance. This should have Canada excited!

Cole Thompson, who’s been chasing the series for years. Last season, he finished 10th overall in the 250 West class, and he’s ready to make a push this year. Cole has a ton of experience and is quickly cementing his place among the most successful Canadian Supercross riders.

Guillaume St-Cyr is in California riding SX already, and will be lining up for 250 west. St-Cyr made his first main last year at Glendale and got his first points, he made some LCQs very exciting to watch and can only expect great things in 2025 from Guac.

Don’t be surprised if Parker Eales shows up in Seattle—he often takes time off work for that round. Otherwise, we’ll see if anyone else makes an appearance.
The full four-part series of the AMO Chilliwack AX is now live on the SpecMoto YouTube channel. The championship kept fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
That’s a wrap for this week. Hate to tease, but big things are coming. What was supposed to be a quiet time has turned into serious planning for 2025, and we’re excited to dive into the new year. More soon ;)
