Round 6
Canadian Pro Motocross Update
Rumours are swirling that the 2026 Beta Canada team, based out of Atlantic Canada, could be set to make an announcement in the coming days involving a 450 rider expected to be in the mix up front in the 450 class.
It is kind of the calm before the storm right now, where riders are putting their final touches on their programs before heading west for round one.
Sand Del Lee always hosts an AMO race following the team photo shoot, giving everyone an early look at where riders and teams stack up heading into the season.
Naturally, a lot of the talk this week centered around Jess Pettis not delivering the result he or the team expected. After catching up with Jess, he mentioned the issue came down to some clutch problems, but was happy it happened at an AMO race rather than at round one.
These preseason races are always fun to watch and analyze, but year after year they prove they mean absolutely nothing once the gate drops at round one.

It’s expected that this weekend in Calgary the full National track layout will be used, something that rarely happens at the facility.
With word that Dylan Wright and Rempel from the GDR squad will be lining up, alongside a deep group of western National riders, this is shaping up to be another preseason race worth paying close attention to.
The big question going in here is how will the track be. The Wild Rose crew is taking this race a national prep practice and all eyes are on the crew to see if they can pull it off.

Amateur and Local Racing
Revelstoke hosted an Alberta vs. British Columbia shootout that drew an impressive 685 entries, a massive success for motocross in the West.
AM racing is underway across the whole country but still a lot of Canadians are down south chasing the Lorettas ticket.
WMX
AMO delivered a stacked Ladies A gate drop that immediately sparked questions heading into 2026.
Going in, Kaylie Kayer was the rider with the most proven success in the WMX National ranks, but both Hannah Cole and Amelie Croteau have clearly elevated their game for 2026.
Hannah put together a strong 2-1 scorecard for the overall, Kaylie finished with 3-2 motos, while Amelie went 1-3, with all three riders separated by only a few seconds in both motos, showing just how tight this battle could become.
This race reinforced just how tight the fight for the WMX podium could be in 2026. Add Katrine Ferguson into the mix, along with expectations for Brandy McLary and Kiana Kurtz to come out strong at round one in Calgary, and the class is shaping up to be one of the deepest it has been in years.
