round 1
Introducing Spec Around, where each Thursday we give you a run down on whats going on in Canadian Moto.
SpecMoto is new to the scene, and we're committed to adding more value to Canadian Moto. While there are solid outlets already, we believe there's room for one more. We know it’s a tough task, but we're ready to give it our all. The deeper we dive in, the more respect we have for those already in the game. This isn’t easy, but we’re excited to contribute. We recently sent out an intro to industry folks and are hopeful it leads to some great relationships ahead.
We are trying to find what people like and dont, from the people we talked to most did say they do like a good article to read, which was not expected on our part but we can provide that if thats what is enjoyed. We want to try everything and see for ourselves what works and what doesn’t.
Zach Ufimzeff announced on Instagram that he is joining Guaranteed Comfort Racing on a Honda for 2025. We spoke with him about his winter plans, and health is currently a priority. He'll be heading to Dreamland in February and will be in Ontario for the spring. After racing with Manluk Racing since 2023, transitioning to Honda marks a change, but he’s enjoying the bike so far.

On November 26th, Round 1 of World Supercross took place in Vancouver, BC, attracting over 19,000 fans—a clear success. The racing format differed from the familiar Monster Supercross style, allowing for rapid back-to-back motos. Behind the gate before the superfinal, there was chaos as team managers and FIM officials discussed points and gate picks, creating a high-stress atmosphere amid some uncertainty.

KTM announced on Wednesday that their partnership with Jess will not continue in 2025. After six seasons and last year’s 450 championship, Jess is heading in a new direction.
It's also worth noting that KTM finished the 2024 season with both the 250 and 450 championships, but will be unable to compete in 2025 with a number-one plate in either class, due to Jess leaving KTM and Kaven unable to race 250 again after winning 3 tittles.
Tanner posted about a practice crash, a harsh reminder of the risks in our sport. A rider finding his perfect path with his newly signed Priority ride, and then this setback—it's the ugly side of racing, but also where grit is truly tested. We haven’t spoken to Tanner yet, giving him space to heal, but we can only imagine how gutted he must be. Wishing him a full recovery and sending positive vibes to him and Tanna during this time, it cant be easy!
40th Annual Vet National Flyer
The World Vet Nationals went down at Glen Helen this past weekend, and it was a wild one. Canada claimed the overall win, but the real drama came from Team Italy, who reportedly skipped the podium.
Rumor has it Italy brought in a ringer for one of the motos, prompting Canada to call them out. While the full details are still unclear, one thing's for sure—Canada took home the trophy.
