round 21
We've got Canadians back in Supercross! Seattle, the home race for Western Canada, had stands packed with Canucks.
Unfortunately, only one Canadian made it to the 250 Main, keeping our total at just two in the Mains this season, Preston and Cole.
Seattle threatened a mud race, but the SMX Track Crew did an unreal job keeping it dry and race ready during the week and Saturday didn’t bring rain so we were in the clear. This track is known for being one of two things, a mudder or a brutally technical, rutted challenge. This weekend, we got the latter: deep ruts and serious technicality.
Lets do a little recap on each Canadian Racing:
Cole Thompson
Cole rode strong, bouncing back in classic fashion after battling illness for a few rounds. He finished 10th in the Main and now sits 13th in points.
Having Cole repping Canada at the races is huge, but even bigger, congrats to him and Chloe on their new home! Unfortunately, it’s in the U.S., but hey, we still get to call them Canadian!

Tyler Gibbs
Tyler made his season debut in SX, and his results make you wonder, what could he do with a full season? He spent a few weeks training in California for this one-off race, but with wet weather limiting his SX track time, it was all raw talent that carried him to solid results.
In Heat 2, he finished 18th, then fought to 7th in the LCQ, making steady progress. The joke in the pits? “Are we heading to Denver?!” hard not to consider it after a performance like that.
Tyler gets what it means to sell the sport, always engaging with the crowd and effortlessly becoming a fan favourite on the track, and always makes racing exciting with not being afraid to do what it takes to get the pass done.

Julien Benek
If you follow Julien’s racing, you can’t help but root for him to catch a break. Whether luck is real or not, you have to wonder because time and time again, he puts himself in position for success, only for something to fall apart at the last moment, leaving fans heartbroken.
Julien got off to a great start in his heat race, running a solid 7th, which would have sent him straight to the Main. Unfortunately, a couple of costly mistakes forced him into yet another LCQ, where he came up short. His speed is there, his fitness is on point, but at this level, that’s not always enough to make the Main.
Sounds like Julien will have a couple more shots at SX in 2025 and we expect to see him lining up for the big show before its over!

Preston Masciangelo
Preston being the only other Canadian to make a main this season struggled a bit in Seattle but gained a ton of experience. Prestons SX season isnt over as he is signed on for the full season and we expect to see him make another main by the end.

WMX Schedule
Triple Crown has announced its 2025 WMX and Pre-Mix schedule, three rounds in the West and six in the East.
Notably, the title sponsor for WMX appears to be absent. In 2024, it was WMX Presented by Thor, but for 2025, no title sponsor is listed. Meanwhile, Pre-Mix remains backed by FXR.

Quinn Amyotte
Quinn Amyotte just dropped his first post aboard his KTM, decked out in FOX gear, outlining his 2025 race plans. He’s set to compete in the Triple Crown Nationals, a few AMO races, and even some off-road events. A true all-around rider, Quinn will thrive on his own program like this, built on hard work and zero shortcuts.
Quinn is down south training until racing kicks off up north!

It's that time of year, the calm before the storm. In the coming weeks, teams will start releasing photos revealing gear, sponsors, and maybe some last-minute ride deals.
Until then, we’ll keep these updates short.
