LL Area Qualifier Recap: February 2025
The LL Area Qualifiers are underway across the US over the past couple weekends which brought out some Canadians, with riders battling it out for a spot in the Regionals. Here's a breakdown of how the riders fared.
Parker Hatt (Mesquite & Prairie City OHV)
Mesquite: Parker Hatt was in top form, especially in the 85cc (10-12) Limited class, where he secured 3rd place in motos on Saturday and Sunday, landing him an overall 2nd on Sunday. In the 85cc (10-12) class, Hatt finished consistently, with a 4th overall on both Saturday and Sunday. In the Mini Sr. 1 (12-14) class, he showed strong results, finishing 6th overall on both Saturday and Sunday.

Prairie City OHV: At Prairie City, Parker kept his pace strong. He earned another 2nd place overall finish in both the 85cc (10-12) Limited and 85cc (10-12) classes, making it a successful weekend. The Mini Sr. 1 class saw some tough competition, with Parker landing 9th overall.

Kade Dupuis (Echeconnee MX)
Saturday Results: Kade had a solid start at Echeconnee, beginning with the 65cc (10-11) Limited class, where he earned an 8th place overall. In the 85cc (10-12) Limited class, he faced more competition, finishing 15th overall.
Sunday Results: On Sunday, Kade showed improvement in the 65cc class, finishing 7th overall after an M1 6th and M2 8th. He also raced in the 85cc (10-12) class, finishing 10th overall.

Hayden Dupuis (Echeconnee MX)
Hayden Dupuis had an exceptional weekend, dominating both the Mini Sr. 1 (12-14) and Supermini 1 (12-15) classes. He swept both classes on both Saturday and Sunday, finishing in 1st place overall in both events.

Talon Medaglia (Echeconnee MX)
Talon Medaglia had a consistent weekend at Echeconnee, with a strong showing in both Supermini 1 (12-15) and Schoolboy 1 (12-17) B/C. In the Supermini 1 class, he finished 6th overall, while in Schoolboy 1, he landed 6th overall after finishing 3rd in Moto 1 and 7th in Moto 2.

Braxton Zeitner (Prairie City OHV)
Braxton Zeitner had an impressive weekend at Prairie City, showing great skill across multiple classes. In the Mini Sr. 1 (12-14) class, Braxton finished 2nd overall, thanks to a strong 2nd place in Moto 1 and 3rd in Moto 2. He also had a great showing in the Mini Sr. 2 (13-15) class, finishing 2nd overall after earning 2nd in both motos.
In the Supermini 1 (12-15) class, he landed 3rd overall, rounding off a solid weekend of racing.

Sawyer Saunders (Prairie City OHV)
Sawyer Saunders had a strong showing during Sunday’s LL Area Qualifier at Prairie City OHV. In the Micro 3 (7-8) Limited class, he fought hard to finish 6th overall, with an M1 result of 10th and an improved M2 finish of 5th. In the 65cc (7-9) Limited class, he worked through tough competition, finishing 10th overall, with a consistent effort of 13th in M1 and 10th in M2.
Saunders also raced in the 65cc (7-9) class, where he ended with 13th overall after taking 12th in Moto 1 and 13th in Moto 2. Despite some tough competition, Sawyer displayed grit and determination, making notable progress across the day’s races.

Jayden Debodt (Prairie City OHV)
Jayden Debodt had a solid performance at the LL Area Qualifier, competing in both the 250 B Limited and 450 B Limited classes. On his GASGAS bike, Debodt showed steady results, securing consistent finishes throughout the event.
In the 250 B Limited class, Debodt finished with an overall 8th place after placing 9th in both motos. His consistent lap times demonstrated his ability to maintain competitive positioning, even in a packed field of riders.
In the 450 B Limited class, Debodt continued to deliver strong, consistent results, taking 8th overall after finishing 7th in Moto 1 and 9th in Moto 2. Despite facing stiff competition, Debodt's resilience and steady pace were key highlights of his weekend.
With a strong foundation in both classes, Jayden Debodt looks forward to continuing his pursuit of improvement and refining his racing skills for the upcoming events.

Conclusion:
The LL Area Qualifier packed with several Canadian riders making their mark. Parker Hatt delivered consistent results in the 85cc classes, while Hayden Dupuis dominated the Mini Sr. and Supermini. With many of these riders training in warmer climates this winter, expect more strong performances as March brings additional AQs and we head into RQs.
